Description
It’s kind of cramped with a tiny notebook, but thankfully wing shape/length was not the main focus of this exercise. This bauplan for Cerise isn’t intended to be permanent as I haven’t drawn frequently, and her concept wasn’t as set in stone as I’d thought.
She turned out more birdlike than I’d planned with her keel and biped stance. Originally I thought of her getting around by quad locomotion as seen in pterosaurs. Something sprawly, desperate, and not very elegant. She could still do that but the arm proportions would place her palm a bit too far from her body for my likes. Her arms aren’t compact enough to work in her favour, I think.
I want to keep her face batty, and to my luck, there is a bat with almost the exact head shape and nose I imagined she’d have. Coincidentally it’s attributed as an explanation for Jersey Devil sightings.
About the unfinished face at the bottom, I’m sick and my energy is just not there.
